    Hurricane Norbert (2008)

    Hurricane Norbert was one of the strongest tropical disturbance in the 2008 Pacific hurricane season. Hurricane was first formed as a tropical wave that crossed all over the Central America and then, after just a couple of days, it turned as a tropical depression. On October 4, it is forecast as a tropical storm and then, it was classified under Category 3 hurricane on October 8. Hurricane Norbert had maximum sustained winds of at least 135 miles per hour with a strong and higher gusts. It continued to gain its strength and it was considered to be a Category 4 hurricane. Then, on October 11, it weakened but it remained a major hurricane before it made landfall in the vicinity of Baja California Sur as a Category 2 hurricane. Norbert also crossed into the Gulf of California then it was under Category 1 hurricane and it suddenly it hit Sonora. The weather bureau expected hurricane Norbert to disappear after a few days or on October 12 to be specific. Hurricane Norbert left 25 people lost their lives with three others missing. This hurricane also left $716.4 million in damages throughout the Mexico and according to the assessment that Baja California Sur and Álamos, Sonora has the worst damage which hurricane had done. It is really important the people are aware and properly informed about what is happening in their surroundings. Even though that Hurricanes are really dangerous and destructive, it can help some dry regions in the world to bring much needed rain.
