Michigan Benefits from Data Center Outsourcing

Business Review recently reported that “Southfield-based Secure-24 Inc. is creating a $5 million data center in Plymouth Township, in order to provides the need of its clients’ and for maintaining the lowest cost that a certain must have. Outsourcing in the field of hosting and management of business-critical IT functions will add on the demand for services that the big business for Michigan companies offer and in order to operate data center outsourcing in that area. According to Ann Arbor-based Online Tech Inc., it added 10,000 square feet of data center space in the year 2008. Yan Ness, Online Tech’s CEO said that “It’s one of the secrets of Michigan” They say that whether there is up and down in that industry, there is still an opportunity waiting for them. As of this moment, they say that there’s a downsfall in the areas of banks and the credit markets. Most of the business’ ability to outsource the hosting of enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) or supply chain management software to offsite data centers is really a great help for them because it can add up to save money on IT staffs and server banks. Yan Ness added that data centers can cost between $1,000 and $2,000 per square foot to construct which will reach a 10- to 20-year investments in that industry.
According to Cheryl O’Brien, marketing manager for Secure-24. In this economy, people must do everything that will result in saving more money and one of the best ways to save money is to outsource. Mark Symonds, CEO of Plex Systems Inc., an Auburn Hills-based developer of software as a service applications for manufacturers, added that most of the companies realise that they need to pay attention on their core competencies, which is designing and making really good stuff and not managing data centers and software. According to Yan Ness, This said move will take a huge amount of money in order to create those things, which is more difficult than they usuallt think but adding that both Google and Microsoft have planned to create new data centers. Outsourcing is really a great strategy for a business to prosper.
