    Nevada decides to officially consider outsourcing Public Works

    The city official of Nevada, Missouri are expecting a proposed plan to outsourced jobs will save them a lot of money. They are hoping that the outsourcing will let them to reduce and lower their operating expenses. They are hoping that through outsourcing will lead them to become streamline efficient even if they know that the city worker’s program are already efficient. During the city council meeting that was held Tuesday night, the city manager has decided to officially consider outsourcing the Public Works Department because the past administrations did not do anything to increase the utility rates that is the reason why their money is just coming from the city’s general revenue fund. Some of the residents of Nevada are still confused about this said plan. According to the Nevada city manager JD Kehrman, that the times are moving fast yet their budget has not been increasing. The City hall has not yet talking and thinking about the layoffs but there are some workers in public works who are thinking that the jobs will be fewer. The proposition has an average 35 workers on workers. Kehrman also added that there are a lot of anticipation and apprehension about what the future may lead them. In the year 2008, the city of Nevada had to upgrade its treatment plant. Kehrman has been paying almost $13 million debt for the work. The loan is expected to last until the year 2029 with about $730,000 per year. The city manager knows that there is too much waste in the new city operations ands they are searching into outsourcing the Nevada’s Public Works Department. The city manager believes in the benefits of outsourcing in their state. As of now, they are plan of firing employees. Their current concern is that which will be the best strategy to save more money and they believe that through outsourcing, they are allow to cut and reduce their operating expenses. They believe that outsourcing will let them to lower their costs. Outsourcing will help them to improve their core competencies. They will be allowed to pay more attention in some of their functions. They are allowed to give more of their attention on how to improve their business.
