    Sitel’s Hamilton, Alabama Call Center Operational Again after April Tornadoes

     

    Sitel, a leading Business Process Outsourcing provider. It has reported that its workforce in their call center facility in Hamilton, Alabama came back to work after the Tornadoes April came across the Alabama. Its facility in Hamilton is currently recovering after the deadly tornado outbreak. That tropical disturbance is really devastating because it almost damaged the city and the state on April 27, 2011. After a few days, the Hamilton was being left by the tornado without electricity supply.

    In order to recover, the Sitel has teamed up with WOW, it is a cable services provider. They will them trough providing foods, water, clothing, and even shelter. They help the Sitel employees of about 300 people. After the tornado hit, workforce at the Hamilton Sitel call center were supported with round the clock meals supply at the site.

    Those employees who are homeless are being provided with hotel accommodations. The customer care support which are provided by Sitel to its two clients at the Hamilton site which includes the WOW, has been continued even there is a devastating crisis occur. The Hamilton Sitel site has been operated by generator power, that is according to the Sitel. According to Bert Quintana, president and COO of Sitel, the WOW’s response proves the teamwork between Sitel and WOW. It defines the partnership that Sitel has been foster with all of its clients all over the world.

    Sitel is very grateful and thankful to WOW for its kindness and generosity that have shown and invested to the workforce of Sitel. WOW donated about $25,000 in order to help and assist the employees of Sitel and the Sitel itself also donated about $25,000 to further assist its workforce. Even the local Hamilton residents also extended their hands to help those employees. In fact, the amount of money in totally have reached about $75,000. This money has a big help for those Sitel’s employees that have been affected by the hit of the Tornado April.

    It is true that the outsourcing companies have a great help in the lives of the people in such a way that it provides a great opportunity for everyone and in times of crisis, they are also willing to help. Outsourcing industry has a positive impact on the economy of a certain country. It can make a certain industry to prosper even there are a lot of trial and obstacles that have been coming along.
