The Tropical Storm Erin was the fifth named storm of the 2007 Atlantic hurricane season. It was formed in the Gulf of Mexico on August 14. It was the second tropical cyclone to make landfall in the United States of America in the 2007 Atlantic hurricane season. On the following day, it reached a tropical storm status. On August 16, the tropical storm Erin was made landfall near the Lamar in Texas. When it landed across the vicinity of Texas before it was moving in a northward direction into Oklahoma. This tropical storm Erin was just a weak and disorganised tropical storm, it hit the Texas coast on that day with maximum sustained winds of 30 knots. Erin was over land in Oklahoma. The tropical storm Erin brought torrential rains which triggered flooding. The storm resulted in at least 16 fatalities and worsened an already-severe flooding issue in Texas. Even though, there is a storm, the United States of America is not bothered because they are really prepared for the possible tragic situation that might happen.
