    Arthur Cause Major Damage in Belize

    Tropical Storm Arthur is the first named storm of the 2008 Atlantic Hurricane Season, it is spotted one day before the season’s official date start. Tropical Storm Arthur formed near the Belize coast. It was formed and developed due to the interaction between a tropical wave and the remnants of Tropical Storm Alma. It landed in Belize on May 31. When Arthur made landfall on Belize it caused an estimated US$78 million worth of damage and killed 9 people, 5 of them directly. Arthur is the first reported tropical storm to form in May since Tropical Storm Arlene in 1981.
    Flash flooding in Belize killed at least four people and left two others missing. Flooding caused by the tropical storm Arthur, at least four people lost their lives and two others were missing. The Central America and southern Mexico were really affected by the flooding and heavy rains that Arthur brought. It is better if people are always ready in everything even for the worst thing that may happen. For all the tragic situations has happened, life must still go on.
